Our Competitions

Northern Rivers Region proudly supports two key competitions that showcase the depth of talent across our member associations:

• Junior Country Week: A cornerstone of youth development, this competition brings together junior teams from across the region, offering a high-quality representative experience and fostering the next generation of country cricketers. The former McPherson Shield has now been integrated into this event, strengthening its legacy and reach.

• Kookaburra Cup: This senior-level competition invites the 20/20 or One Day champions from each member association to compete for regional honors. It’s a celebration of elite performance and spirited rivalry among the best senior teams in Northern Rivers.

These competitions reflect our commitment to both grassroots development and high-performance cricket, ensuring opportunities for players at every level.
